This was such a great experience, Me and my boss did this, Sunday just been and we had such a great time. Highly recommend doing the wine pairing with the 4 course meal - It makes a great experiences. Atmosphere was Like you were back in the old days and we really lapped up the music, the food and of course the Beverages .. Such a great experience Christchurch!! I can’t wait to bring my parents here when they come to Christchurch with me next.
It's amazing what can be done in a kitchen the size of a phone box. The food was very good especially the spring menus lamb, venison starter, lemon rhubarb dessert and appetizer. The monk fish was a little disappointing but I imagine this is a tricky dish to get perfect in the afore mention phone box. The waiting staff were attentive and pleasant, the highlight is the tram restaurant experience itself. The smiles from passersby and adjacent business owners as you circle the city is fabulous. It was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend.
We had an amazing experience on the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant! The four-course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented as we cruised through the city in a warm, cozy cabin. Our servers, Hannah and Joy, were absolutely lovely—friendly, attentive, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Liam, our driver, navigated the tram smoothly through the streets, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Huge compliments to Chef Zihan—the food was incredible from start to finish. Such a unique and memorable way to experience Christchurch. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at the tramway restaurant. Although the sunlight was a bit strong in the summer, it was a very unique experience to wave to passersby.

Great dining experience in Christchurch! Highly recommend for couples (I guess not so much for family as young children not allowed). We took the 5pm (1.5h) slot and wish we went for a longer 7pm (2h) slot instead. Time passed quickly as we dig into the delicious 3 courses. Would be great if there was more time to savor the meal and complementary wine. Food and service were amazing. Thank you for the lovely experience!
